Research and Development Pricing

(As mentioned on the Services page, please refer to pricing below)

  1. Recipe Conversion to weight…. $200
    • When you are scaling a recipe in a manufacturing plant everything must be in weight, and not in volume. Before sending your recipe into us make sure you take the time to convert all ingredients over. If not, we’ll convert it.
    • Note: Must be in GRAMS/ OUNCE (where ounces are preferred). If you are able to convert recipe before sending, you will not be charged.
  2. Sourcing of Commercial Ingredients…. $100
    • It is not possible to buy your ingredients from a local grocery store, or even inside the state when scaling up. We will look for commercial sources in order to purchase ingredients in the bulk quantities needed.
    • Note: If this process does not require much work as we have so many ingredients already sourced, you will not be charged.
  3. Making samples in our facility…. $25/hr. Second Person-$15/hr.
    • This is where we have you come in and make a sample with us. This allows us to make sure that we can complete the process in our facility, and taste translates over. It is very common when scaling a product up taste can change some. We will take this time to tweak the recipe to make sure it is perfect for you and do an in-house pH test.
    • Note: Customer should be present when this takes place. Fee does not include ingredients or packing cost.
  4. Complete nutritional information…. $200
    • Once the recipe is finalized and we are ready to move towards the test run, our New Products Developer will work with you to make sure your label is compliant with the FDA guidelines.
  5. Process approval through the State…. $250/$100
    • If your product requires us to schedule a process approval explaining to the state the various kill stages to create your product.
    • Note: Not all recipes will require us to do this. Please ask if you are unsure.
  6. Producing an undersized run…. $500
This process uses facility equipment to test run your product. We base this on the minimum batch we can produce on our equipment. This is done to ensure that we do not have any mishaps when running the full- blown production run.
  7. Lab Testing…. $100
    • To make sure your product is shelf stable we will need to take 2 samples from separate batches of the same product to test the pH of the product. These will be taken to a commercial labs.
    • Note: The pricing for multiple products will get cheaper if they are all submitted at the same time. $100 for the first, $50 for the second, and $25 for the third.
  8. Graphic Design Work…. $35/hr.
    • This would include meeting with our graphic designer with ideas for labels. The Designer will incorporate a nutritional value box, UPC code and work to create a label appropriate to your product and bottle size.
